Norbert Roztocki was born in Cracow. He studied philosophy and anthropology of culture at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and also study of religions at the Abo Academy in Turku (Finland). From 2006 to 2008 he lived and worked in Finland. Since 2008 he has worked in Germany and Poland. At present he works as a photoreporter for the leading Finnish newspapers: „Helsingin Sanomat” and „Turun Sanomat”, he takes photograph of classical musicians (e.g. Capella Cracoviensis, Faust Quartett) and folk musicians (e.g. Kapela ze wsi Warszawa). Also he has participated in cultural event “OO. Kameduli”, presented in many European capitals. He implements his own projects related with traditional and folk music in Poland (e.g. Contrasts, Contexts, XLII Polish Festival of Folk Bands and Folk Musicians in Kazimierz). He is also into sculpture and painting. Norbert Roztocki is a member of The Finnish Press Society.
